Artistic director, choreographer Anna Wyman was born and raised in Austria. She trained at the Granz Opera Ballet School where her professional career began. Initially a dancer, Anna Wyman became recognized throughout the world as a gifted choreographer for creating stunning visual works. In 1971, Anna Wyman Dance Theatre made it's debut in the heart of BC at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The group became an international sensation as they toured all over the world,including China (1st invited Cdn Dancer), India, Mexico, New York, and Australia. Anna has served on the Adv. Ctte. Canada Council and grant applications juries, as well as Adv. Council Prov. B.C. Culture. Nationally and internationally acclaimed choreographer and teacher, Anna is a recipient of numerous awards including the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award for Arts and Culture, and The West Vancouver's Millennium Award. She was awarded the first Sweeny Award Excellence in Arts,was named one of West Vancouver's Outstanding Achievers, received the Celebration Certificate for hard work and dedication to the community,and has been inducted into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame. |

Neil was a founding member of The Anna Wyman Dance Theatre Company and danced and toured the world with the company for 15 years. As a professional dancer he has toured Canada, and the world, performing in the USA, Austria, France, Switzerland, Germany, India and China. His extensive knowledge in choreography and modern and creative dance has inspired students for many years. Neil has set the standard in excellence for arts throughout Canada. |
